Dear students,
This sunday the topic of discussion is 'Independence of India and formation of Republic'. Please come prepared with a write up about some of the most significant events that lead to India's independence in 1947, mainly focusing on the period between 1900-1947. You may also include the post independence period from 1947 to 1950 when India became a republic. I hope to see maximum participation in the class on this interesting topic.

Saraswati Culture Class on 01/10/2010
Dear students,
The next intermediate culture class on 01/10/2010 is about 'Indian Poets'. India is country where many languages are spoken and over the centuries she has produced many a great poet in these languages.
In this class I would like all the girls to come up with a 1/2 page write up on any poet who lived in ancient and medival India -- before 16th century AD like Valmiki, VedaVyas, Kalidas, Thiruvalluvar, Avvaiyar etc. And all the boys should present about a poet who lived during later time -- from 16th century to the present time like Tulsidas, Surdas, Kabir, Meera, Tagore, Sarojini Naidu, Mirza Ghalib etc
I would like maximum participation from both sides and let us make it a contest!
