Dear students,
Since towards the end of this month we celebrate Holi, the topic for the class this Sunday is 'Holi and other festivals of India'. Write up about how you have celebrated Holi or how it is celebrated in the part of India where your family comes from. You are welcome to bring pictures if you want. If you want to write about a different favorite festival of yours, you may do so. I want some effort from the boys this time.

Saraswati culture class on 02/14/10
Dear students,
Our topic for the next class is "Indian Arts and Crafts". There is a huge variety of 'Arts and Crafts', in different parts of India, like pottery, textile, carpets, carvings, leather work, rangoli, embroidery etc. Prepare an article about what art / craft is famous in or around the state from where your parents hail. You are encouraged to bring some work from India and share it with everyone in the class. In particular if you had a chance to do the work yourself, it will be great to see that. This way we can all learn about arts and crafts from the different regions of the country.
